While we have your attention, we’d like to ask you to do something. Go do something nice for your favourite local artist. Donate some coins, write them a letter, give them a hug. Just because. Not because they released something last Friday, because they have a gig or because they have perks for higher tier subscribers. Just go say ‘thanks for bringing more art into the world’. You don’t need to prove it and in fact you could do it anonymously (well, maybe not the hug).

We have a soft spot for local artists, of course, but it’s hard out there. They quite literally have at least four, maybe twelve, jobs at any one time, and after all that they bring music and art into our lives, often for free. Think about every good (and sad) memory you have, almost all of them will have a soundtrack.

It isn’t the amount, it’s a token that shows that we value artists in the world and not only in direct proportion to the things they produce.

This isn’t a campaign or something to build our brand, neither is it a fraction of the solution, we just think that art is necessary and it’ll be nice.
